Cu< zn < mg this is the increasing order of reactivity

When iron fillings are added to copper sulphate solution iron will displace copper from its sulphate solution .

Iron nail will turn into BROWNISH a COLOUR and the blue colour of copper sulphate FADES.

Fe(s)+ CuSo4(aq) ————> FeSo4(aq) +

Cu(s)

This type of reaction is DISPLACEMENT REACTION.

Answer:

Increasing order of metal of their reactivity.

Copper < iron < zinc < magnesium

Two observations are as :

1. Color of the solution changes from blue to green

2. Reddish brown deposits on iron filings.
