The importance of art in our daily curriculum is both essential and beneficial.  

It is essential because it creates a state of mind wherein children are not restricted to express their emotions and are free to create.  

It is beneficial because free thought gives birth to new innovations and ideas which are important for a perfect development of an up growing mind. The subject Art has a plethora of benefits such as:-

• Enhances the learning capacity.
• The art is not a subject; it’s a technique which indirectly teaches the way of learning.
• The creativity of the mind gets the wing to think from a different perspective.
• The emphasis on the art content helps to build cognitive skill.

The art could be in any form and practicing as one of the daily curricula helps to boost up the spirit and in many cases, people feel they are more confident than before. Art could not be learned randomly. It needs time and patience which imbibes the habit of perseverance and self-control.

Ex: whether visual art, drama, or music - all forms of art are important for the growth of children and for overall development. It’s more evident in kindergarten children who start performing well when introduced to the Art.

Thus the improvement in motor skills helps the child to imbibe the environmental changes faster.
