rich and powerful people believe that the future generations would remember them through the statues and monuments. it is a natural human tendency to want somehow survived even after one's death the statues and monuments are erected to serve this purpose. but with ravages of time they get distracted or damaged by the something or the other way and the person who built it will be rubbed from the minds of people, but the power of poetry in an is an attractive manner poem remains the same after passing many years.
