Arteries are thick but veins and capillaries are thin why? Give reason

Arteries are thick and veins along with capillaries are thin.

This is because, Arteries carry blood from the heart to various organs and cells of the body. Due to this the pumping of blood, takes place under high pressure.

To manage the high pressure exerted by the heart, the arteries are made up of thick walls, so that they dont break or burst open during the carriage of blood.

This is the reason.

But veins on the other hand carry blood from various parts to the heart. So they have blood travelling under low pressure. So they have thin walls.

Arteries  have thicker walls than veins and capillaries because they are closer to the heart and receive blood that is surging at a far greater pressure . In other words, in comparison to arteries, venules and veins withstand a much lower pressure from the blood that flows through them.
