Explanation:

Because arteries need to carry pressurised blood from the heart all throughout the bodyit has to be pressurized to stop back flow of blood into the heartveins carry deoxygenated blood which is not pressurised so it can be thinhence arteries carry pressurised blood so it is thick so that it does not explode.

Explanation:

Arteries carry ‘oxygenated blood’ from the heart to different ‘parts of the body’. This blood is sent out from the heart at a high pressure. Hence the ‘walls of arteries’ are thick so that it can withstand the ‘high pressure’ of the blood flow.

Veins on the other hand carry ‘deoxygenated blood’ from varies parts of the ‘body to the heart’. This is at a ‘lower pressure’ hence the ‘walls of veins’ are thin. Certain veins like those in the lower limbs or organs far away from the heart have valves in them to ensure that the blood do not flow back into the organ while moving against gravity.
