This habit has a negative impact on the physical and psychological health of people of all ages. Watching TV is a sedentary activity. Moreover, it could lead to overeating in some, further adding to the health hazards associated with television viewing. Mental engagement while watching TV, to an extent, numbs the sensation of feeling full after eating, which may lead to excess food intake, further resulting in obesity and the associated health problems.
