Article on India- Land of festivals.

Explanation:

India is a diverse country where different people from all sorts of background live peacefully. And it is this very quality that makes it one of the most interesting places to live.

Since it is a democratic country, the people coming from different religions and backgrounds have their own festivals. Some of the major festivals are Holi, the festival of colors. Then there is Diwali (the festival of lights), Christmas (the birth of Jesus Christ), Ganesh Chaturthi, Raksha Bandhan, Lohri, Dusshera, Durga Puja, Eid-ul-Fitr, Guru Nanak Jayanti among others.

All these festivals may have been religion based but there is no restriction on who can celebrate it too. This perfectly makes India a land of festivals, with harmony among the people even when celebrating their respective festivals.
