Everyone has something that helps them escape from reality. For many this can be a good book. Nothing really beats the serenity of sitting down with a nice cup of tea and a new book. It is one of the most physically and mentally relaxing pass times there is. The search for a new book is one of the hardest due to the fact we fall in love with so many books in the bookstore. Book lovers often lose track of time in a book store picking out a new book. While reading a novel, we get involved in the plot line of the story and we become a part of it. We become attached to the characters and what they feel, we feel. We lose ourselves in the book and it is a temporary escape from reality. Sometimes this is exactly what we need with everything in our lives.
Books can transport us to another world and we have so many to choose from. There's fantasy, fiction, dystopian, history, nonfiction, and many more to choose from. There is something for everyone to choose from. Many people say that they don't read but reading can expand everyone's horizons and knowledge on things. Even if the only thing you read is dystopian fiction novels, it still has an impact.
The worst part about being an avid book reader and lover would be the depression of finishing a book and not knowing what to do next. This is similar to the post Netflix binge depression when you finish a show. You get so invested in the characters and the story that their story becomes ours in a way, but when you finish the novel you don't know where to go next. We fall in love with the books we read, the television shows we watch, and so much more.
