water conservation is  must in a country like india as it is the second largest country in population and hence there is an excessive need of water conservation in our country. many crops like rice need an excess amount of water to grow but in the draughts rice crops are unable to get enough water for their survival hence many crops fail which results in poverty. on the other side in citie areas there is a large amount of  wastage of water because of poor drainage facilities as well as carelessness of citizens. if water will ot be conserved, then soon all the drinkable water will become impure and nothing would be left for our future generations and hence the water should be conserved
