A role model is a person who you look up to and aspire to be like. They are someone you learn from and look to for guidance. Anybody can be a role model, but the most influential role models just happen to be teachers. There are many reasons why students think of those in the teaching profession as role models.Teachers Are Role Models. A role model is a person who inspires and encourages us to strive for greatness, live to our fullest potential and see the best in ourselves. A role model is someone we admire and someone we aspire to be like.

The findings indicated that good teachers are enthusiastic, friendly, easy-going, able to develop rapport with learners, committed to the growth of their students, approachable, interested in learners as people, and always conscious of their status as role models.
