the motive of the Olympic in the ancient times was to bring out the true spirit of sports by uniting together the sports person of different regions and celebrating the event. the format of the Olympic has changed since then yet the basic idea behind the sport still remains the same.
the true spirit of sports is not always to win participation in itself should be the primary persuasion. if a player majorly focuses on wining only he has left behind the real spirit of sports and is guided by motives of least importance. it is very obvious that one team will lead the scores and win a game and the other will lose. the losing team should take the defeat in right spirit without getting disheartened. sports teach the real lessons of life like patience team spirit decision making and Cooperation which altogether weigh much more than just winning.
when winning becomes the prime goal of playing it leads to malpractice such as taking drugs and steroids, fixing the game and the like. though there are rules against such malpractice the overriding ain of winning results in such indulgence. so all the sports persons should opt for fair play.
