Solutions :-

We know,

1 Dozen = 12 units

1 score = 20 units

Given :

Cost Price of 12 articles = Rs 45
Cost Price of 1 article = Rs 45/12 = Rs 3.75

Selling price of 20 articles = Rs 85
Selling price of 1 article = Rs 85/20 = Rs 4.25

Here,

Selling price is greater than the cost price. therefore, Gain .

Gain = S.P - C.P
= Rs (4.25 - 3.75)
= Rs 0.5

Gain % = (gain × 100)/C.P %
= (0.5 × 100)/3.75 %
= 50/3.75 %
= 13.33 % approx.

Hence,
The gain percent is 13.33%

HEY THERE!!

Question;-

Articles are bought at rs 45 per dozen and sold at rs 85 per score . find the gain or loss per cent.

Method Of Solution;

Note: 1 Dozen = 12

1 Score = 20

According to the Question;

Cost Price of Per dozen =45

•°• Cost price of 1 dozen=45/12

=3.75

Again,

Cost Price of Per Score= 85

•°• Cost price of 1 Score=85/20

=4.25

Therefore, Gain = 4.25-3.75 = 0.5

According to the Formula of Gain Percentage;

Gain% = Gain×100 /CP

= 0.5×100/3.75

= 50/3.75

= 50×100/375

= 5000/375

= 13.33%

Hence, Gain Percentage = 13.33%
