hey friend! here is your answer-
1.Artificial synthetic (silk) is much cheaper because natural silk consumes more time and is difficult to produce from animals but artificial silk is prepared in mills or from wood pulp so it takes less time.
2.Artificial silk is prepared by the wood pulp which is not so much costly. On the other hand, real silk is obtained from silkworm which requires more time, silkworms, money and we need to feed them so that is why artificial silk is much cheaper to buy.

Artificial silk is produced in mills and with synthetic fibres (cheaper material) whereas original silk is produced by worms and it needs a lot of labour and skills and hence the former is cheaper.
