Let the total marks be x. Arun's score = 30/100 of x Passing marks = 30/100 of x + 10 Sujit's score = 40/100 of x which is 15 more than the passing marks. Therefore 30/100 of x +10 = 40/100 of x -15. Solving for x we get total marks x= 250. So passing marks = 30/100* 250 +10 = 85. So Arun scored 75 ten less than the passing marks and Sujit scored 100 that is fifteen more than passing marks
