So, the age of Arun = 2x years




Given that the sumof their ages = 50

=> x + 2x = 50

=> 3x = 50

=> x = ( 50/3 )





Hence, age of varun =50/3 × 12 = 50 × 4 = 200 months or ( 50/3 ) years

And


Age of arun = 2 × 200 = 400 months or ( 100/3 ) years
