When the candle burns 2 processes take pleace
1. PHYSICAL CHANGE
the wax with which candle is made melts and reaches down which is comparatively cooler. now the wax becomes solid again thus melting of wax is a physical change

2. CHEMICAL CHANGE
The candle's thread also called wick burns away and cannot be converted into its original form thus it is a chemical change

Explanation:

When a candle burns, both physical and chemical changes take place.

Physical change → Melting of wax

Chemical change → Burning of wax

Eating of food is another example where both physical and chemical changes occur simultaneously.

Physical change → Breaking down of larger food particles into smaller particles

Chemical change → Digestion of food
