as a netizen having an experience on internet activities, where do you stand between cyber-utopian and cyber-dystopian and why?

Being an active and an aware user of the internet, I am midway between being a cyber-dystopian and a cyber-utopian. Had I been a cyber-dystopian (explain what that means), I would have been extremely weary of using the internet. I would not have trusted any websites and would have steered completely clear of all apps. That would have made life difficult, especially because almost everything has been upgraded to the cyber level. So, I would have lost out on a lot of information, convenience and even deadlines.

Had I been a cyber-utopian, I would have ignored all the risks attached to using the internet. In that case I would neither be worried nor careful about giving out my personal information on the internet, nor would viruses or malware have worried me. I would have been an easy victim of online scams as well.

However, since I do not believe in extremes, I go online for necessary work and take care of personal information. I keep a check on the security status of my devices. I do not subscribe to unnecessary newsletters or sign up for contests that may later turn out to be a scam. So, I feel that I am a realistic internet user, rather than being a cyber-dystopian or a cyber-utopian.
