Subject: Degenerating Democracy and Governance in our Country
Dear Sir:
I write this letter to express my deep anguish over the ubiquitous problem of decaying standard of polity and degenerating democracy and governance in the Government run departments all across the nation. In spite of being the anti-corruption forum of the city, even I have to face it. it is everywhere! If a citizen of this country wishes to avail any facility or service, he faces the ugliness of corruption at that time. Be it renewal of old driving license, installation of new electricity connection, water supply connection, applying for a job in a Government run department, traffic rules regulation, corruption is everywhere!
I just wonder what will happen to our country, especially our state. I am writing to you so that you can help me in sensitizing people concerning the issue. Only mass protest against this evil will check this disease of corruption and fallen moral standards of the Government run offices. All the high ideals of democracy have been dashed to pieces. It appears as if we are living in a country whose motto is ‘Corruption for the people; corruption by the people; and corruption of the people!’ I hope you will give due space to my views in your esteemed daily.
Yours truly,
The President
