Rubber is a bad conductor of electricity.
If we wear rubber slippers while working with electrical gadgets and in case any leakage of electricity occurs and gadget gets electrified.
When I you touch it, current will not be able to flow through my your body to earth.
In this case rubber slipper will act as electrical insulation and will provide my you safety against electric shock.
