Answer:

Being a student, how can you contribute in keeping the environment clean?

Teach fitness online and tap into a limitless audience.

Well, many feel that us individuals can’t do much since environmental problems are caused by a huge series of chain reactions. Nonetheless, our very own demand and consumerism pattern is one way to bring about harm to the environment. This not just includes fashion and food but also electronic gadgets like your phone (e-waste especially). If there is not a need, why buy another one?

Another way is the 3R (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce). Think about the resources we waste everyday. Where would they go? To fill up dumpsites causing land pollution and attracting pests which may potentially harm our human health?

As students if you want to try something bigger, you could start a small campaign in school. Try sharing your ideas with the teacher. Could be as simple as recycling newspaper or even asking for empty pen refills that the other students have finished using. The refillable pen can even be refilled and given to low income families. Two birds with one stone :)

Gathering donations for environmental organisations can work as well (not necessarily those environmental ones, could also go to wildlife) If you have a hard time gathering donations, you could possibly ask each of your friends to give you a dollar (or even more if they want) for your birthday instead of a gift, and of course the more friend the better. And this sum can then be directed to donations.

If you want to attempt something even bigger, like you really want to be a environmentalist and start up an organisation in the future, you can try with the above suggestion with getting the money and then continuing that every subsequent year (but that will probably mean that you sacrifice your birthday gifts unless your friends don’t mind). Continue with a blog or youtube channel to create awareness and also ask friends to come along!

These are personal advice and I must say I am no expert (not even close) in this field.

Just remember that our efforts might always seem small, but it will always affect the final result somehow or another. Hope it helps!
