Caught, Checked & Changed
- Emotions are like the flood from which if not fled, overflows the land.
- These emotions that hurt us or take a charge on our actions leading to some disappointment, have to be caught by our intelligence so like as the ball we catch.
- The next step is to have them checked by judging their (emotions') abilities on helpfulness or usefulness and accuracy. This gives the power of control over the mind.
- Final stage of having them changed is the step of redirection: from anger to softness, from disappointment to delight.
- These three are the essential components that help a person to have self control over own actions and they better the ways of public appearances.
