As far as the charity policy of Harsha is concerned, he used to organize a meeting in the duration of every five years in Prayag where he used to donate his accumulated wealth of five years. He even used to donate the clothes he used to wear at that time.

Religious Assembly

Explanation:

Harshavardhana is a rule of the Pushyabhuti dynasty who ruled from 606 AD to 647 AD with Kannauj as his capital city.

Harsha would organise a religious assembly at Prayag every fifth year under his rule. He conducted six religious assemblies in his reign, before he expired in 647 AD.

The religious assembly was a significant as it was an event that emphasized charity and religious beliefs.

During these religious assemblies, he would donate everything he earned by tax in the previous five years. He used donate even the clothes he is wearing and then ask for clothes from his sister. This event was called the Moksha Council.

In 643 A.D., he held his religious assembly in his capital, on the banks of river Ganga, at Kanauj. This assembly highlighted the teachings of Lord Buddha and Hiuen Tsang was a guest of honour.
