 \large \dag Question :-

An object of mass m and velocity v has kinetic energy 200 joule. Find the new kinetic energy if the mass of object becomes double and velocity remain same ?

 \large \dag Answer :-

\red\dashrightarrow\underline{\underline{\sf  \green{New   \:  KE \:  is \: 400\: Joule }} }\\

 \large \dag Step by step Explanation :-

Here we have,

  • Mass of object = m

  • Velocity of object = v

  • Kinetic Energy of object = KE = 200 J

We Know that Kinetic energy of any object with mass n and velocity v is given by :-

\large \bf \red\bigstar \: \: \orange{ \underbrace{ \underline{   \blue{ \pmb {\frak{  \text{ KE}= \frac{1}{2}   {m \text v}^{2} }}}}}}

So, for given conditions ;

⏩ Applying formulaof kinetic energy ;

:\longmapsto \rm 200 =  \frac{1}{2}  {mv}^{2}  \\

:\longmapsto \rm mv {}^{2}  = 200 \times 2 \\

\purple{ \large :\longmapsto  \underline {\boxed{{\bf  {mv}^{2}  = 400} }}}

 \large \bigstar When Mass becomes double :-

We Have,

  • Mass of object = m' = 2m

  • Velocity of object = v

  • Let Kinetic Energy of object = KE'

⏩ Applying formula of kinetic energy ;

:\longmapsto \rm KE' =  \frac{1}{2}  m'v {}^{2}  \\

:\longmapsto \rm KE' =  \frac{1}{\cancel2}  \times  \cancel2m {v}^{2}  \\

:\longmapsto \rm KE' =  {mv}^{2}

 \maltese Putting Value of  \sf mv {}^{2}

\purple{ \large :\longmapsto  \underline {\boxed{{\bf KE' = 400 \:J } }}}

Therefore,

\underline{\pink{\underline{\frak{\pmb{\text New \:  Kinetic \:  Energ \text y   = 400 \:Joule }}}}}

QUESTION-:

As object of mass m and velocity is has kinetic energy 200 joule. find the new kinetic energy if the mass of object becomes double and velocity remain same

EXPLANATION-:

Let the previous kinetic energy=k₁

The value of k₁

\longrightarrow \boxed{\bf\;K.E=\frac{1}{2}mv^2}

Finding value of k₁

\rightarrow \bf\; 200=\frac{1}{2}mv^2\\\\\rightarrow \bf\;mv^2=400

Now in the new kinetic energy-:

Let new K.E=k₂

mass=2m

velocity=v

Finding k2-;

\rightarrow \bf\; k_2=\frac{1}{2}2mv^2\\\\\rightarrow \bf\; k_2=mv^2\\\\\rightarrow \bf\;k_2=400\;joules\;\;\;\;[mv^2=400]

So new kinetic energy is 400 joules
