Recently we went to a nearby locality which is basically a slum as a part of our holiday project. They were extremely poor but to our surprise, they greeted us really well. We were served some water and a few biscuits and it was definitely worth a visit.
We interviewed a few people living in the slum and came to know about the extreme conditions of their lives. While some literally starve on most of the days, the others work in the cities to earn a living. Their lives are simple but happy.
We could learn many things from them and it was a pleasant day for us, especially with the little children who wanted to involve us in their plays. Their heartwarming attitude and warm welcome won our hearts and we vowed to do something for them.
