As soon as I reached the top of the hill it started raining very heavily; I rested my bicycle beside the tree and sat below it. Just then the rain assumed the shape of torrential downpour. There was no building, house or shop to take refuge. I was weighing over my options when the cloud burst. I saw a huge wave of water descending towards me from the top of the mountain. I quickly climbed a tree. And soon, the tsunami like avalanche carried along the entire hill downhill towards the valley. The tree I was sitting on also fell in the huge debris of mud; fortunately I kept holding the tree tightly. The tree began floating in the debris. I found myself struggling for life on the tree that was being carried mercilessly in the turbulent debris. I was in a seasonal river that was looking more ferocious than a sea in storm. Many people standing on the banks on either side began shouting for help. I knew I was destined to be drowned in the raging waters.
Then someone on the bank, a little in front, threw a rope towards me and shouted, “Get hold of the rope, quickly.” I saw the rope end, and strove to grab it. I was lucky; I caught the rope, and the people standing on the bank pulled me out. I heaved a sigh of relief for having been saved so miraculously. I thanked God for my stars.
