as we know that heat=I²Rt------(1), and Heat=V²/R×t-----(2). From (1), we can know that heat directly proportional to resistance but from eqn. (2), we can get that heat is inversely proportional to R. which one should i consider and why???

Answer:

both are true in a way, it depends on situation.

Explanation:

when you compare resistors having same current then heat produced will be directly proportional to resistance and when you compare resistors having same potential difference then heat produced is inversely proportional to resistance.

so, you need to see  what is common in the resistors you compare. generally when we compare two quantities in an equation we keep other quantities constant and change only those variables in which we are interested. changing more than two quantities in relation will make the comparison complicated.

so you need to check whether they are having same current or same voltage inorder to determine how heat is dependent on resistance
