As we know that our sun is star which is stable because of fusion and gravitation.If it lost fusion than most probably it will become a black hole but at the same time planets has only gravitation and no fusion but still it is stable.why?​

PLet us assume that the Sun is shrinking is by gravity. Then from the equation that scientists have for the change of the Sun's luminosity (luminosity is an energy output) versus its radius, the Sun would be shrinking in its radius 74 centimeters per year.
