As we know that sound and light is a type of energy.And sound need to travel a medium but light is not required any medium. Why?
I have ex. also, sunlight can come from sun even in the space but sound cannot be heard.

Light doesn't require any material medium because it is an electromagnetic wave
On the other hand sound is a mechanical wave, hence it requires a material medium
