They fly with the help of their wings. When they swing their wings they get lift and due to aerodynamic body shape they can fly and and gravity does not pull them down

Gravity pulls every object towards the Earth,yes.But the birds fly because their wings upon the flying movement exert a force against gravity which is strong enough to keep them fying above the ground.

This just like the case when someone throws a stone upwards. The stone stays above ground with the energy we passed on to it and when that energy decreases,gravity comes into action and the stone falls down.In the case of birds,the energy is regulated continuosly with its wings so that gravity cannot pull the bird down altogether.
