As we neared the airport, we saw a crowd on the highway. We stopped our vehicle wondering what it was and joined the people who were gathered by the side barrier, looking at something down below in the valley.
A thin streak of smoke rose from the rocky valley several hundred feet below us and it looked like something had crashed from the sky. But it was only a small, blackish, burnt-out crater, from which the smoke originated. Could it be a tiny meteor?
After about ten minutes the crowd thinned out and people got back into their cars and drove away. As I looked over the edge, I thought I saw some movement inside the crater. I could see a small figure crawling out from it. As the tiny figure emerged, I could make out that it had on a strange space suit, and what seemed like tentacles instead of hands!
