where 'l' is the length, 'w' is the width and 'h' is the height of the rectangular prism.

Since, length = 6 cm and height = 8 cm

208 = 2(6 $\times w + w \times 8 + 8 \times 6)$

208 = 2(6w+8w+48)

208 = 2(14w+48)

$\frac{208}{2} = 14w+48$

$104 = 14w+48$

104 - 48 = 14w

56 = 14w

w = $\frac{56}{14} = 4 cm$

Hence, the width of the rectangular prism is 4 cm.
