Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Asha's bookshelf is more full by fraction of 13/30.

◆ Explanation -

Filling of bookshelves of Asha and Samuel can be represented by -

Asha : Samuel = (5/6) : (2/5)

By cross multiplication,

Asha : Samuel = (5×5) : (2×6)

Asha : Samuel = 25 : 12

Asha's bookshelf is more filled by fraction of -

Difference = Asha - Samuel

Difference = 5/6 - 2/5

Difference = (25-12)/(6×5)

Difference = 13/30

Therefore, Asha's bookshelf is more full by fraction of 13/30.

Hope this helps you...

Answer:

asha bookshelf is more full by 13/30

Step-by-step explanation:

asha shelf full 5/6

Samuel shelf full 2/5

we need to find whose bookshelf is more full

thus, we need of find greater of

5/6 and 2/5

deno. is different, we make deno. same

common deno. lcm of 5 and 6

2×3×5

6×5

30

thus,

5/6 ×5= 25/ 30

2/5 ×6= 12/30

thus,

25/30. 5/6

12/30. 2/5

25 / 30 is greater...

asha shelf is more full than Samuel we also to find fraction by which bookshelf is more full..

now, 5/6 - 2/5

25/30 - 12/30

= 13/ 30

asha shelf is more full by 13/ 30

hope it helps.....
