The Asiatic cheetah, also known as the Iranian cheetah, is a critically endangered cheetah subspecies surviving today only in Iran. The Asiatic cheetah lives mainly in Iran's vast central desert in fragmented pieces of remaining suitable habitat.

It is the worlds largest mammal and its specialised member of cat family .. It can move at the speed of 112 km/hr 
It is nearly extinct due to decline of  available habitat and prey.These species was declared extinct in India long back in 1952
Two reasons for extinction of Asiatic cheetah are :
