Asl class 10 problem and solution
Answers
Candidate A: Hey, do you know our friend, Yogita's(You can change the name) 500 rupees have been nicked. She had brought it to buy a few stationery articles from the school shop!
Candidate B: Don't tell me there is another theft in our class! How can you be so sure it is stealing. She might have dropped the money somewhere from her pocket!?
Candidate A: Nope, she confided to me it was in her satchel's pocket. It is really giving our class a bad name. It is the fifth incident this month. We are going to be notorious as 'class of thieves'!
Candidate B: Hey tell me one thing. Why did the other students not complain to madam?
Candidate A: Because they were not sure. They thought they had dropped it! Can there be so many similar dropping cases? Why don't you understand? We must do something. I think we need to talk to our classmates and class teachers.
Candidate B: I smell something fishy too. Yes, we must. Think of the poor victims. What an inconvenience and loss they must have felt! Such incidents might encourage other students to indulge in more such acts of pinching. Candidate A: I have an idea to check such incidents. We can volunteer ourselves as watchmen for the recess. Most of the nicking instances have been reported after the break. We can stand as guards in the class during the break.
Candidate B: Very bright! We can also request the principal through our class teachers to have a CCTV camera installed in our class. The very presence of the camera will discourage the delinquent students.
Candidate A: Do you suspect anyone in particular as to who could have nicked her money?
Candidate B: No, I can't. How can I? We need to catch the culprit red-handed. I think we must also take other students in confidence to catch the thieves.
Candidate A: I agree with you. We will talk to some of them. Let's go to our class teacher to know what her opinion is.
Candidate B: But let's go to Yogita to ask her if she needs any kind of assistance. I have some money with me. I will give it to her in case she needs it. We will also take her to the madam along with us. She can give firsthand account of the incident to the madam. If required, we will go to the Principal's office.

Hemant: Hey Div ! Did you see those Malli, Samy,
Sunil left the tap
half-open after
drinking water from the tap?
Divya: Oh! Yeah! That's terrible. They're always in a hurry. They
don't
check properly whether
they close the tap or not. So careless!
Spurthi: I too observed. They do that everyday. They're
careless because
they've a lot of water
at their homes, I suppose.
Hemant: Possibly they never faced water shortage.
Divya: True. We're careful because we know the value of water.
Spurthi: Because of them there is no water in the tank, after 3pm. So in
the hot afternoon some
students have to suffer.
Hemant: What should be done about them? What should be done
to
the water tap?
Spurthi: We need to tell them and educate them about importance of
water and also to be
careful about wastage.
Divya: We will take him to the colony nearby, where they
stand in a
line for collecting
drinking water. Show him photos of villagers
walking with pots on their
heads in the middle of hot Sunny day.
Hemant: We should have taps that automatically close after 10 seconds.
That is the
average time for which we drink directly from the
tap. Or, to fill
a glass, it takes only 10 sec.
Spurthi: We could have a sensor above the taphead, that opens the
tap only when
a glass or a hand is sensed.
Divya: Perhaps that will be costly. But water is also expensive.
We
should do some
science projects to build such a water
tank/taphead.
Hemant: yeah! That's a good idea.
Spurthi: I will collect some statistics about water scarcity and
wastage
in our country. We will
present an article in the school
magazine.
Hemant: I will speak on the subject with the data in the ASL
speech.
Spurthi: I will design a poster for save water and paste it near the water
tap. The caption will be
"SAVE WATER, BY A LITTLE CARE !"
A notice saying
"Please close tap carefully, after drinking water"
to paste just above the taphead.
Divya: Gud! Okay yaar, It's time for the classes. Shall we
go in?
Hemant: Spurthi: ok..
