Of course traveling is important for an individual to improve spiritually and  mentally. when v travel the person comes across many new things which he don't know . he also faces many difficulties, learns many lessons, knows wt r valuable and wt r not, comes to know many different places, interactions with many unknown people ...... all these take place . this helps the person to grow mentally and also spiritually. this makes the man think with broad-mindedness. not only reading in textbooks, other guides is important . also exposure to outer world is also important. when u have a lot of knowledge but dont have the skills of interacting with others then what's the use of it?
when u know many things about the place u visited but dont know the regional language whats the point in knowing and having the knowledge? hence v can say traveling is important
