The distance travelled by a car at the speed of 40 kmph for 15 mins = 40/60 × 15 = 10 km.

The distance travelled by a car at the speed of 60 kmph for 15 mins = 60/60 × 15 = 15 km.

Hence, the total distance travelled by car 15 + 10 = 25 km.

Hope it helps you.

Hey mate,

1hr = 60 mins.

The total distance travelled by the car
= 40 ÷ 60 × 15 + 60 ÷ 60 × 15
= 2 ÷ 3 × 15 + 1 × 15
= 10 + 15
= 25 kms.

Hope it helps you.
