Answer:

During the period from 10th to 14th century the only written Assamese literature were mostly the songs named charyapada . Madhav kandali translated Ramayana into Assamese, named " saptakanda Ramayana "which was the first work of translation from Sanskrit into a North Indian language .

The Vaishnavite movement launched by sankardeva and Madhav Deva in the 15th century influenced the life of the people of Assam in all aspects . This religious movement had a major impact on Assamese literature . The history is written under the patronage of the ahom kings also and enriched Assamese literature . So , Assam has a mixed culture due to assimilation of the Aryans and non Aryan

culture .
