Assertion 0^0 c=273.16k. for our convenience we take 0^0=273k after rounding off the decimal
Reason to convert a temperature on the celsius scale you have to add 273 to the given temperature

basically , A Temperature measuring scale is formed with help of boiling point and melting point of any substance.

for Celsius scale,

melting point of water, T_m = 0°C

and boiling point of water, T_b = 100°C

but in case of Kelvin scale,

melting point of water is T_m = 273K

and boiling point of water is T_b = 373K

so, the relation between Celsius scale and Kelvin scale is given as

\frac{C-T_m}{T_b-T_m}=\frac{K-T_m}{T_b-Tm}

or, (C - 0°)/(100° - 0°) = (K - 273)/(373 - 273)

or, C = (K - 273)

or, K = 273 + C ,

here you can see for getting temperature in Kelvin we have to add 273 with Celsius scale.
