A voltmeter and ammeter can be used together to measure resistance but not power. This Assertion is incorrect where as power is proportional to voltage and current this reason is correct but not the correct explanation of assertion due to following reasons :

- An ammeter is a device which is designed to measure electric current that is always connected in series in a circuit.

- Where as voltmeter is an electric instrument which is used to measure the potential difference between the two points in a circuit which is always connected in parallel.

- As we know that according to Ohm's law R=V/I and P=VI.

- So,by using voltmeter and ammeter together we can find both resistance and power.

- Here, resistance is directly proportional to voltage and inversely proportional to current. Where as power is directly proportional to both voltage and current.

- So, the reason is correct but is not the correct explanation for the assertion.
