Its called conservation of energy. A wind up toy consists of a spring which is attached to a winder. When the winder is rotated the energy used to rotate the winder is stored in the spring in the form of potential energy. After releasing the winder the spring tries to unfold and the stored potential energy is converted into kinetic energy which is then transferred to the gears attached to the spring.

Answer: Reason is incorrect.

Explanation:

There is a system described for winding toys with springs. A driven clutch member of the toy spring drive is positively engaged by a driving clutch member of the wind-up mechanism in a clutch configuration. The teeth on the clutch parts engage in a positive, vertically retaining way. With top car racing games and toy vehicle launches, the clutch arrangement offers a swiftly engageable and releasable spring wind-up connection that is especially helpful for quick "pit stops." It is stated how a pivotally mounted platform may be inclined to change from a spring wind-up support surface to a toy vehicle launch ramp in a vehicle launcher that uses the wind-up clutch.

It is known as energy conservation. A spring that is connected to a winder makes up a wind-up toy. The potential energy utilised to rotate the winder is stored in the spring when the winder is turned. When the winder is released, the spring tries to unfold, converting the stored potential energy into kinetic energy that is subsequently sent to the gears holding the spring.

This mechanism is used by a winded toy car. So we can say that by using energy conservation the potential energy stored into the spring is used by car to move.

Hence, reason is incorrect.
