Explanation:the heart is located between the lungs and is well protected by ribs . It is triangular in shape . The heart is a muscular and a closed structure . The heart is divided into 4 chambers . These chambers are separated by a muscular wall called septum. The heart is enclosed with a double walled sac called pericardium. The upper two chambers are called auricle and the lower two chambers are called ventricles. They are completely separated. When the heart contracts , the oxygenated blood is collected from different body parts through veins and reaches the heart . This intern , pumps the blood to body parts through aorta . At the same time deoxygenated blood is sent to the lungs for purification
