Assertion is False and reason is True

Given :

Assertion : there are two numbers such that their HCF is 18 and LCM is 380

Reason : LCM must be divisible by HCF

To Find : Comments on Assertion and Reason

Solution :

"HCF Highest common factor of given numbers is the largest factors which divides all the given numbers perfectly."

HCF = product of common factors of least power

"LCM  - Least common multiplier of given numbers is the least number which is perfectly divisible by given numbers."

LCM = product of each factor  of highest power

Hence LCM is always divisible by HCF

so Reason is Correct

HCF is 18 and LCM is 380

But  380 is not divisible by 18

Hence Assertion is False

Correct option is d) Assertion is incorrect but reason is correct
