Hello !

The most substantial macro environmental factor on the likely level of enrollment at a university is to be found in the demographic forces. Many universities in US were experiencing a decline in enrollments during the 1980s and early 1990s due to the declining birthrate after 1960.However, in the late 1990s, enrollments increased as a result of the “baby boomlet” which  occurred when the children of the Baby Boomers entered their 20s. Since then universities have been seeing an increased enrollment, and it will continue over the next decade. Better job opportunities and high salaries are some of the major factors for the increasing enrollments. In my opinion, all the macro environmental factors can have a positive and negative effect on job security and the salary level of university professors.

Hope It Helps u :)
