yassinsobh200: f) The sum of three integers is 228. The second integer is 1 more than the first, and the third integer is 2 more than the fist. Write an equation to determine the integers. Solve your equation.

1. x+x+1+x+2 = 48
3x+3 = 48
3x = 48-3
3x= 45
x= 45/3
x= 15
hence numbers are 15,16,17

2.x+x+2+x+4 = -465
3x+ 6 = -465
3x = -465 -6
3x = -471
x = -471/3
-157
hence numbers are -157, -155,-153

Pslmbm: I can
ashi2203: x+x+1+x+2 = 228........3x+3 = 228........3x=228-3 ........3x= 225 .....x= 225/3......x = 75....numbers are 75,76,77
Pslmbm: Let the first integer be x.... Then the second integer will be x+1 and the third would be x+2......Now x+x+1+x+2=228...3x+3=228
