Last week, Mumma and Pape were not home and I was supposed to come to school on my own. I put an alarm to get up on time but when the alarm rang in the morning, I turned it off and slept again and got up at 7:30 AM. By the time I got ready and came out, the bus had left. I somehow managed to take a rickshaw but it took enough time to make me late to reach the school half an hour late. Meanwhile, the fear of punishment made my steps slower than ever. When I reached the class, the terrifying reaction from the teacher for such an irresponsible act made me feel humiliated. When the teacher asked me to got to my seat after scolding and warning me for the last time, the other students began laughing which added fuel to the fire of my embarrassment. But this incident taught me a vital lesson that one should understand the importance of time and this made me make a resolution to never get late to school or any other place.
