Concept

Ratios are commonly referred to as parts, parts, or numbers that are considered relative to the whole. The definition of ratio indicates that if two ratios are equal, they are proportional. This is an equation or statement used to indicate that two ratios or fractions are equal.

Given

We have given the diameter of the pizza which is 54cm.

Find

We are asked to determine the number of  pepperoni pieces of the pizza of the given diameter.

Solution

Let the number of  pepperoni pieces of the pizza be 'n' .

Let the radius of the pizza be 'r'.

We have given diameter=54cm then, radius will be

r=\frac{d}{2} \\\\=\frac{54}{2} \\\\=27cm

It is given that number of pepperoni pieces ∝ to the square of the radius of the pizza.

n\propto r^{2}   ..... (1)

Putting the value of 'r' in equation (1) , we get

n\propto 27^{2}

Hence, the number of pepperoni pieces with the given diameter is 27.
