Assume that you were locked down inside your home due to covid-19, for
‘x’ number of days. For first half of the total number of days you helped
your mother in the kitchen daily, for one-third of the remaining days you
decided to recall the syllabus of your previous class and for the remaining
seven days you tried to do assignments given by school. Find the total
number of days (x) you were locked down.

Step-by-step explanation:

 \frac{1}{2} x + (\frac{1}{2} x \times \frac{1}{3} ) + 7 = x \\ \frac{1}{2} x + \frac{1}{6} x + 7 = x \\ 7 = x - \frac{1}{2} x - \frac{1}{6} x \\ 7 = x - \frac{x}{2} - \frac{x}{6} \\ 7 = \frac{6x - 3x - x}{6 } \\ 7 = \frac{2x}{6} \\ 7 = \frac{x}{3} \\ x = 21

21 days I were locked down

Verification

For first half of the total number of days I helped

My mother in the kitchen daily,

21×1/2 =10.5days(x×1/2)

one-third of the remaining days you

decided to recall the syllabus of your previous class

10.5 × 1/3 = 3.5 (1/2x × 1/3)

for the remaining

7 days you tried to do assignments given by school.

Let's add

10.5 + 3.5 +7 = 21
