The intensity of electric and magnetic fields of radiation are 10 watt/m²

Explanation :

Given

power of bulb = 1000 watt

Area of the 2 m sphere

A = 4πr²

= 4 x 3.14 x 2²

= 50.24 m²

We know that Intensity is defined as power per unit area

=> I = P/A

= 1000/50.24

≈ 20 watt/m²

Half of this intensity is provided by electric field, while rest half is provided by magnetic field. Hence

Ie = Im = 20/2 = 10 watt/m²

Hence the intensity of electric and magnetic fields of radiation are 10 watt/m²
