Astronomers deal on a daily basis with distances like light-years, which are so great they are hard to imagine. Do astronomers therefore tend to feel "smaller" than other people do? (If so, in what sense? If not, why?)

I would think that astronomers feel connected to the universe, as do I, and therefore much greater than the sum of their own parts.

I have read a lot of space travel and astronomy so I can tel that the astronomers might feel smll and insignificant in this vast universe..... But, its that feeling that fuels the fire to prove ourselves and do something great... Even i myself am fuelled by this....
