ANSWER

Given−

ΔPQR is an isosceles one.

∠QPR=50

A circle , passing through Q & R , intersects PQ at S

and PR at T.

S & T are joined.

To find out −

∠PST=?

Solution−

ΔPQR is an isosceles one.

∴∠PQR=∠PRQ⟹∠PQR+∠PRQ=2(∠PQROR∠PRQ)

∴∠QPR+∠PQR+∠PRQ=∠QPR+2∠PQR=50

+2∠PQR=180 (Angle sum property of triangles).

i.e∠PQR=65=∠PQR.

Now QSTR is a cyclic quadrilateral.

∴∠SQR+∠STR=180

and∠TRQ+TSQ=180

since the sum of the opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral is 180

So∠TSQ=180 −∠TRQ=180 −65 =115

i.e∠PST=180 −115 =65 .(linearpair)
